The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, high level of personal commitment, a self starter, has a strong aptitude for math, creative problem solving ability, and a proven ability to work independently.
Job Description:
From the outset, the Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the CTY development team members to manage day to day responsibility for conducting due diligence, preparing financing applications, preparing draws, coordinating schedules, spreading financials, soliciting bids and proposals for consultant contracts, expediting approvals from public agencies, coordinating multiple parties, and conducting financial analysis. Depending on aptitude and availability, the Assistant Project Manager will be assigned primary responsibility for managing specific projects, as appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates will have a minimum of one year work experience and a bachelor’s degree, preferably in urban planning, business administration, public administration, economics, mathematics, or other relevant discipline. While relevant work experience in affordable housing development or real estate is preferred, it is not required. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in affordable housing development, a strong aptitude for math, excellent skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and written communication. Applicants will need to be able to manage multiple deadlines, stay focused on details while keeping the big picture in mind, work independently, approach work with a high degree of personal accountability and integrity, and communicate professionally with a wide variety of parties. Facility with Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat are also mandatory.
Compensation: $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
