Position Overview

The Resident Manager ensures that his/her assigned properties are managed effectively, and Community Corp.’s residents are well served. Resident Managers must regularly interact with Community Corp. staff and tenants/residents and manage and address all issues that arise at the assigned properties in a timely manner.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation is $17.32 an hour. The Part- Time Resident Manager is eligible for the following benefits:

  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Sick time

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Rent collection and delivery to Main Office
  • Pick up prepared notices and post promptly.
  • Enforce landlord rules, lease provisions and parking agreements
  • Prepare detailed written reports of accidents, injuries, or incidents on the property
  • Oversight of the assigned property including writing and submitting work orders and follow-up on requested maintenance
  • Provide good customer service to tenants and resolve concerns quickly
  • Host open houses for vacant units, assist with move-in/move-out administration
  • Ensure that Property Supervisor remains informed about the property and prepare and deliver any required documentation
  • Maintain curb appeal of the property
  • Ability to reside at the assigned property
  • Monitor pool water levels (if applicable)
  • Oversee community room scheduling and maintenance (if applicable).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills

  • The ability to follow through and carry out work schedule.
  • Good problem-solving and customer service skills and the ability to stay organized
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to recognize odors that could indicate smoke, fire, chemical or other hazardous odors

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience

Travel Requirements

Travel primarily in Santa Monica and surrounding areas to visit properties in the Community Corp. portfolio, including visiting the corporate office.  Prefer candidate who possess and maintains a valid California driver’s license, insurance as required by law and an acceptable driving record.

  • Applicants MUST MEET mandated housing income qualifications per funding regulatory agreements for consideration for the position
