Position Overview -

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Part-Time Resident Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our communities ensuring properties are well-managed, residents are supported, and operations run smoothly.

Compensation and Benefits -

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Essential Position Responsibilities -

  • Collect rent and deliver payments to the main office in a timely manner • Responsible for processing monthly rent in a timely and accurate manner
  • Pick up and post notices promptly
  • Enforce lease agreements, property rules, and parking policies
  • Document and report any incidents, accidents, or safety concerns
  • Submit and follow up on maintenance work orders
  • Provide responsive, courteous customer service to residents
  • Show vacant units and assist with leasing, move-ins, and move-outs
  • Keep Property Supervisor informed and submit required reports
  • Maintain property cleanliness and curb appeal
  • Reside onsite at assigned property
  • Monitor shared amenities such as pool or community room (if applicable)
  • Proactively address resident concerns and resolve issues efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Ability to recognize unusual or hazardous conditions (e.g., smoke, gas, or other odors)

Mandatory Requirements -

  • Attend required trainings and seminars
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State and Federal Fair Housing laws

Education and Experience -

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience required
  • Previous property management or customer service experience is a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities -

  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities

Physical Requirements -

  • This position requires both administrative and physical activity, including:
  • Daily property walkthroughs and inspections
  • Exposure to outdoor elements
  • Ability to sit, use office equipment, and operate a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to maneuver trash bins and similar equipment

Work Environment -

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors at the assigned property, with regular exposure to weather and environmental conditions.

Travel Requirements -

  • Local travel within Santa Monica and surrounding areas
  • Occasional visits to the corporate office
  • Valid California driver’s license, insurance, and a clean driving record preferred

Other Requirements -

  • Applicants MUST MEET mandated housing income qualification per funding regulatory agreements for consideration for the position.
  • Community Corp maintains a no-pet policy
